    I am not trying to sound sarcastic but you must have missed the part in my post were I said that he C8ZX compressor was assemblyline only.It was not serviced. If the metal tag is stamped C8ZX then your compressor hasn't been replaced .I have not ever come across a C7ZX or C8ZX compressor that was not silver though.
    I was asked for advice at the beginning of this thread and I gave it. I explained the reasoning behind my belief and the provenence. I am not twisting your arm to change anything .I think your post would have been just as informative and you could have gotten your point across just as well without the thinly vailed insult at the end .

    I commented on this car in the above post here is a picture of the C8ZX clutch and the replacement compressor with out the tag i took at the BJ auction when it was sold last.
