Hi, my name is April,(My husband and I are stationed in Fort Rucker, AL) I am new to this forum and wanted to say hi to everyone. My husband is in Iraq as a longbow pilot :guns: and he has always LOVED the mustang fastback. He had a 69 when I met him but he totalled it after a night of drinking at the officers club.. Long story short, I know nothing about these cars, I'm a die hard vette girl and have an 08 for myself but I just purchased a 66 GT350 Shelby hertz clone for him as a surprise. I hope the fact that it's a "clone" doesn't make people mad at me but it was a pretty little car and I (think) I got a great deal on it. This is my husband's Christmas in March present since he'll get to come home mid tour at that time. I hope he likes it. Is there a section on this forum where it would show weather or not i got a fair deal on this car (fully restored)? Hi to everyone, so nice to meet you.. :)

    Hi April,
Welcome to the forum. A clone is free to be whatever you want it to be. It can be a plain and simple great car.. or some version of a museum replica. I promise he will love it.. He is lucky to have you, and you are lucky to care that much about someone else. Post some pictures here and let us share the surprise..
    good luck,
    Jimbo
