In 68 the early cars had cast iron intakes and a 4300 carb as well a Marshal lites. When did they change to aluminum intakes and Lucas lights? Date or build number. Mine was built in Novemrber of 67 and is number 00344 thanks Gary

It was well past the date of yours. Recall letter dated 3/23 refers to "cars built before 3/19/68" for the intakes. I can't remember the date of the Marchal letter (I think it was around 4/1) but in my data I have a car built 3/20/68 that has Marchals. Don't forget because they were recalls your Nov 67 car could have either.

My ears were ringing....the date for the intake/carbs was March 15, 1968. Cars built before that date had iron intakes and Autolite carbs. They were recalled, but many never came back, so either is correct for an early built car like yours.

I don't think I have seen a firm date, but it's basically the same story on the lights. Your car started with the Marchals and was recalled, either would be "correct"
