My son won the Shelby class at Silver Springs with his 67 GT 500. We just finished the car and this was the first time he had taken it to a show. About 1000 mile trip but he had a good time. It has an all aluminum Shelby 427 with a two four tunnel wedge. Here's a picture that somebody took of it there. Who says that you shouldn't modify them. I have the lowest mile 67 GT 500 in the world and I put a 427 tunnel port in it.

I was there as well. Beautiful Car. you did a GREAT job on it and deserve to WIN. Just so everyone knows..... There were over 1000 vehicles, mostly Mustangs and a lot of Shelby's. This is a "Peoples Choice" event and to WIN a Trophy at this Event IS a Big Deal. That Black paint really shined. Not sure if you remember my car, I was parked across from you in the Grass. I have the Sonic Blue 2005 Tribute Edition Shelby G.T. 350 40th Anniversary with the Photo Lemans Stripes.

    Great car Frank!
    Looks great!
Hey if its your car, you have as much a right to modify it as anyone does to restore a car to "as delivered" condition.
