Would you guys re-build them ? 167 has not been except for power valves. starts and runs fine but leaks a little past b. flies after been sitting for a while... Talked to the Holley people at NHRA last year...they would love to, but what if they like got ( i dont know--like lost )? ? Pony Carbs is in town. they did my 24 T rebuild..not impressed.
I've used Pony in the past. Nothing bad to say but turn around was slow and a little pricey. I just used Joe Bunetic to do a C8OE AA. Very impressed with the results. Tim
if the fuel is leaking over the throttle plates and maybe leaking ouy the throttle shafts, it probably needs the body filed flat were the metering plate mates up. the bowl screws also need to be torqed to 50 inch lbs. this is very important and may solve problem.
I prefer to rebuild at home.... on the good formal dining table;preferably using her good china to hold small pieces ....or if i want to sleep in the house I'd recommend Joe. Ponys stuff looks pretty but performance is just so-so steele
