Several Shelby American Checks on eBay

Yep....thought those checks were worth very little
We will just have to wait and see what happens.......remember to baggage that these checks carry right now.

Pouring salt in the wounds?!?!? I wonder who the seller is? Maybe somebody with an axe to grind, since it seems the timing is...questionable. Oh well, one more straw never hurts...does it?
As for value; remember I can ask for as much as I want. What I get remains to be seen. I am not sure too many collectors would go gaga over a SAI check to UPS! Now, if one for Miles shows up with an endorsement.....

I have heard of other checks in the past having been sold on E-Bay.. does anyone remember how much they went for??

There have been tons of these checks sold on ebay in the last year or so.......many bring lots of money.
ANd yes, i have seen them from miles(with endorsement) and just about every other driver or staff member at shelbyamerican.

I remember that numerous checks were made available for silent auction to benefit the Carroll Shelby Childrens Foundation back at the early "SAAC Does Vegas Conventions" before there the Las Vegas factory was even built. I think some may have been auctioned for the Foundation at some annual SAAC Conventions as well. I recall bidding started at $25 (minimum CS signature value) and was based on the number of checks in each packet. Maybe some others have better recall.B)

Dated April 8, 1966. Just two weeks after his & Lloyd Ruby's victory at Sebring and before his drive at Le Mans. Which would be his last win for SA.

Was a E-BAY buy with two other checks, both much earlier. The seller had GLUED them in the frame, it took me a couple hours of steaming to get this one out. Man was I nervous!
