have come across a original 1965 cobra jacket, made by whitings of L.A from x worker, who said that he was given it to travel with the team to Le mans but he never ended up going, its been hanging in a closet for the 40 old years with a plastic cover on it.tells me part of his job was to do final test drives on the cars (some people have all the luck) He wants to get rid of jacket as he selling up and buying a boat. any ideas where to sell? whats it value? any information would great
Would the current owner consider donating the COBRA coat to the Shelby American Collection in Boulder, CO.? An original Shelby American item such as this would be a great piece for the museum and for all to see. Check out the website-its very impressive. http://www.shelbyamericancollection.org/index.html All donations are Tax deductible. If interested, I can put you in contact with the person you need to talk to.
Post some nice pictures of it here first.. That will create a buzz about it, and all the experts will chime in and verify it's authenticity.. then list it on E-bay.. Soon income tax refunds will be in the mail.. there will be an appropriate amount of "mad" money out there, good luck! You could also leave it in the bag in the closet for another 40 years.. and let someone else take care of it at the big "garage sale"
have got some pics, will done load soon.thanks eljimbo think x employer wants some new toys for his new boat venture
