Hello everyone. It's me again. We have ran the thread, "Change Auto tranny for Stick 2007 SGT", to it's conclusion. Thank you for all your great inputs. Each one of them brought progress in the what-to-do-now scenario.

What I am doing now is pursuing the sale of the car beyond just the local paper. And buy the GT500.

The biggest question is, what price to put on the car?

Here's a link from EBAY giving a good benchmark.

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...024QQitemZ370019731918QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

My car has a few differences from the one above.

Here are the things my car has:

    2007 White Shelby GT350
    AUTOMATIC
    Silver interior
    Sirius radio
    Shaker 1000
    Upgraded interior
    Dealer tinted windows
5 year Ford factory extended warranty
    Factory active alarm

My car is garage kept and in perfect condition. It has 2600 miles on it. Anyone have any idea of the pricing of this car?

Secondly, where to market it? Craigslist has been mentioned. Shelby auto shows have been mentioned. how do you get into these auto shows and get the information of when they are going to be in town?

Thanks for coming along on the journey with me!

I would do Ebay, a long auction (9days or so) and no reserve. Start the bidding rather low, and post the link on a number of websites.

Thanks for the websites and the strategies. I dunno about putting it on ebay with no reserve. If it came back at 20k or so, I would be very disappointed.

Actually is won't come back at 20K. Because that would be way under market. Nobody is going to let another person get a deal like that. If you list it at no reserve, you will get it to fmv.

I don't know if I have the courage to do that. Yes, you could make an argument that whatever price it bids out at, is the fmv, in it's purest form. And it could reach it's final bid on another day and have a completely different fmv.

Using that e-bay ad for a guide might not work. That's a new car you are looking at and at $37,499.00 it is way more than I paid for my new one in Tampa. I'm guessing mine has depreciated quite a bit already and it only has 110 miles on it.
