1969 Shelby roof emblem

    I have seen two emblems: one is simply the snake, and the other is the snake with a "shelby" emblem under it. Whish is "correct"?

    From what I understand it was what the guy on the line had at the time. I've seen both and talked to original owners regarding the emblems. Some did, some didn't have the name.

    Either way ... not sure if anyone has done a study/survey on the subject.

    Doubt if there are enough unpainted original cars to get a clear idea anymore

    It just an interesting quirk to the 69's. But maybe there was a reason to it.

    I have a original paint gt 500 and it has just the snake. I beleive the other was one of the options put on the 70.s. If you want a photo email me at shlb69@aol.com. Again this car is original paint above the stripes and the stripes are original. Sorry mine is a 69

    Hey guys could you post your VIN that way maybe (like over in the 67 DSO thread - just a little research ;)

    From pictures (never take them of the "right " area) of original cars and info I have (to the best of my knowledge)

    shlb69 Don't really need a photo but it would not hurt (so I will) Do need a VIN so I can put it on the list. This may just turn out to be one of those non-random running changes.

    BLACK396 - what is your cars VIN so we can see where it falls in this collection. Did your car have one or both of the emblems in question, when you got it?
