I myself have sent the seller two e-bay e-mails and I have not received a reply to either one.

VIN says this car came with an automatic transmission and the pictures show it has a 4 speed.
    Seller has "0" feedback.
Seller does not list a phone number.
Seller does not have a Marti report on the car.
    Seller does not e-mail back.
The 1997 SAAC Registry had the car in Texas last and the auction says the car was found in a wearhouse in California where it sat for 6 years before it was restored.

Besides all the other things non-original items you mentioned and no view of the VIN plate why would you call this a "good" scam? The car in the pictures could easily be just a clone of 0834.

I don't know if this auction is for the real car, a clone or a scam, but just the fact that the seller has "0" feedback and can't be reached should be enough to raise a red flag for anyone, don't you think?

Send the seller one simple e-mail just asking for their phone number. If you don't get a reply back you'll know what to think. If you do get a phone number then call them and ask them your questions and then give us an update.

Tuesday afternoon a GT500 listed on eBay will be closing. In the photos, the car has an 120 speed, wrong steering wheel+engine+? and no where in the photos is the tach or S-A tag visible. In my antiquated copy of the Registry it belongs to a name I recall from Texas (which is where the car was supposed to be). I sent the seller a request for photos of the tach, belt retractors, torque box above the fwd mounting point of the leaf springs and the VIN plate and passenger side stampings. No response... in over 3 days. The bid stands at over $100k... are these scams getting better?
