Did you notice LAX in the background of my avatar. Our ramp is next door to the old Shelby American factory at LAX. It still sends a chill up my spine everytime we taxi by and think about all the once prestine Shelbys and Cobras sitting on the tarmac 40 years ago!!!

 

Just some quick math. If there are 1000 of these and they are selling for $140K and there are only 5 of my kind of green KR converts, my car is worth $2m. I am going to list with a buy it now!!!

Hey Vern, I think there are people out there that will buy it just because of the high price! They don't know anything about the car, they just think they're getting a collector.

 

I hope so 'cuz I aint one! I wish I was but I'm not. Maybe someday everyone will come to their senses!

z***a wants it pretty bad, or is it that someone is driving the price up - notice the initial bid increase without a corresponding higher bid by other interested bidders. They bumped it $10K in 15 seconds, then increased the bid by $100 after it went to $142K?? Pretty strange bidding strategy. I'd also like to know the criteria used to select RUSTY ECK FORD as one of the dealerships to receive a KR?

I wonder if we will see a spike in interest/pricing following the recent K/R movie? On Yahoo, the GT500 was in the "today's top searches", like number 4 I think, shortly after the K/R movie played. I suppose umpteen wannabe's will come out of the woodwork now that they realize that there are once again Shelby Mustangs for sale. Lots of folks saw the movie that probably hadn't an inkling there were new Shelby Mustangs out there.
