I have an early 67 GT 500 (Jan 67). Getting conflicting info on correct air breather lid color. Thought Natural was correct but some say the Black lid is correct. Does anyone know for sure?

I would have to agree with Magstar. 67's have natural valve covers and air cleaner and the 68's had black.
Here is a nice engine picture.
