I don't own one but I love vintage Shelby cars. My favourates are the 289 powered 2000 series, but would also love a 65 GT350 or 427 Cobra street model. I have an extensive library of books on Shelby cars and always enjoy seeing them at shows and other events. I live out my shelby fantasies in scale by building models of shelby cars. I got hooked on Cobra's when I was at the ford dealership at 9 years old. My Mom was getting some work done onr 1967 Ford Country Sedan wagon. (red on red 390 4bbl, no woodgrain) and saw a 427 Cobra sitting in the employee parking area. I was staring at it when the owner jumped in fired it up, pulled onto the street and proceeded to burn rubber the full length of the block. "Holy S**T!* I exclaimed, which raised an eyebrow from my mother and earned me a mouthful of Ivory Soap when I got home. All in all it was well worth it.
Wow! Great Story! Welcome to the forum! Lots of good people here and we all share the same obsession! Best Regards, Vern

Welcome aboard, I use soap under my finger nails before wrenching.Keeps grease from getting under the nails.Afterwards I can use it to wash my hands too. Kenn
