I need to find a reproduction starter delay. I see that they want $1,500 for them. Does anyone else sell them for less or does anyone in here know were I can get a better deal. thanks.

There was a person selling reproductions of one he made himself on E-bay that was very close to the real thing. I don't know for sure but I think Pete Disher (The coral snake) may have the contact info. They are not cheep but very high quality repo. If Pete doesn't I printed the info on the delay switch and the person making them. It's at home and I can get it for you later.

    Try www.scottfullerreproductions.com

Worth every single dollar he charges. Tooling charges and manfacturing costs are expensive .

These are exact copies of the originals, right down to the stamping and platings.

The originals were this price, before he made the reproductions.. So, you might be able to find one cheaper, but not better.

Scott's parts are first class in every way. Look at it this way compared to a KR carb a starter delay is a bargain.

Thanks for the info guys. I really like that Coralsnake.com website as well. We have a '68 KR Conv. that was just purchased that does NOT have a starter delay. The car also has a interior trim code 6AA & I thought there had to be a mistake because I didn't see another one like it. There is a lot of great info on this site! :)
    Thank You Again.

You are probably thinking all Shelby interiors are the same. However, 1968 Shelbys used three different interiors.

6A = Black Vinyl, deluxe interior
5A = Black Comfortweave, deluxe interior (not used on convertibles)
6F = Saddle Vinyl, deluxe interior

You may also have an additional letter "A" in your interior code. This is called a deviation code. Cars with the deviation did not recieve the A-pillar padding. It appears this change was made around the end of February 1968.

I bought one of Scott's and I get compliments all the time. Undistinguishable from the original unless take apart and then you have to really know what the hell to look for.

I have bought many things from Scott and have never been disappointed, great gentlemen to deal with.

He also has a 7000 mile Yellow KR Convert, NICE RIDE!!!
