    I own 70 GT500 #2965.
    Gulfstream Aqua
    Auto
    White Interior
Bought it in August 1974 but knew the original owner. He traded it in while I was in Florida on Vacation. I found out, tracked it down and bought it from the 2nd owner. I was 17 Y/O at the time
i watched it every morning on my way to school as the Owner lived a few houses over. Fell in love from day one, vowed to one day own that car and 3 years later I did. Now I passed it on to my Only son.
He wants to RESTOMOD it. I know ther are DIEHARD Shelby owners that would call it Blasphemy to do it but I am considering it.

    this is my 1969 GT500 #722

This 1969 Shelby GT 500 is powered by a 428 Cobra-Jet V-8 with ram-air rated at a whopping 375 horsepower. The drivetrain also features a C-6 3-speed automatic and traction-lok differential. Other features on this Shelby are the GT500 package, sport deck, tilt steering wheel, power front disc brakes, AM Radio, and power steering. The car shown here had its restoration completed by Legendary Motorcars, and is reported to have been shown on the television show, Dream Car Garage.

This car is the 722nd Shelby produced, and was sold new in Canada. It is listed in the Shelby Registry, and also has its Marti report. It has received a concourse level restoration, and its attention to detail is stunning. The drivetrain is reported to be the original to the car, and the original paint color of Silver Jade was changed to black with the matching side graphics package. This Shelby is one of the nicest restorations you will ever see on any car!

i am looking to sell this beauty, does anyone have an idea of what this should bring at todays pricing? also is there any premium shelby shows with a car corral? i appriciate any input you may have.

I see the legendary motorcar plate on the car...always enjoy browsing their inventory on the net.
Great looking car and welcome to the forums!

Bridgehampton blue, inboards, alum. wheels. Was VERY original car when i bought in late 80's. Sold it (stupid mistake) and bought back 2 or 3 years later. When I bought from 2nd owner, who'd owned since it was 6 mos. old, it was still original paint. It was in this condition when I sold it, and when I bought it back it had been restored down to a bare hull. This restoration left some things to be desired from a detail standpoint. For instance, everything underneath was painted black. Other wise it's a nice car, and was absolutely rust free and damage free when disassembled. All original drivetrain intact except for carbs are replacements. I have one of the originals, but second owner never could track the one he replaced down.

Would not let me edit. The car was painted black by the first owner but will soon be undergoing a resto to put it back to its orig WT-6066 "special paint" yellow
