you all have been so much help finding quality affordable replacment parts for my project so far. I thought I would see if any of you experts out there knew of a good source for the plexi glass rear window for a Gt-350R replica. I found Brandas but if its available elsewhere for a more resonable price or even a used one I would be interested... D
Hello Daryl, You have a number of sources for R model rear windows. Cobra Automotive (.com), Craig Connelly at Paradise Wheels, Jim at Shelby Parts and Restoration (www.shelbyparts.com) and even Tom Cruz at Delta Bay Mustang. There are 2 types: the original type that uses an aluminum spacer and metal window tabs and a retainer (interior) the window actually sits flush to the body (very aero) or the cheaper version that utlizes a regular rubber window seal, and I believe this also uses the stock outside window trim. Take your pick, how much do you want your replica to look like a replica? A couple other sources for real stuff come to mind, Tony Conover in PA and Chris Liebenberg is yet another. Cheers, Earl
Let me ask you this then... In your opinion would the cheaper version be the best for a street/track clone car because of the rubber seal. This car is just gonna be somwhat close. My plan is to have the exterior look, engine compartment and the trunk look all GT350R while the interior looks more GT350. I will be utilizing original ford side windows as well. Since you know these products better then me whats your take.. D
Tony D Branda is your best bet at just $439.95. Mustangs Unlimited is almost twice that in Price. David.
Does Branda offer the original version?? I mean the one without rubber? I don´t want the rubber version has to be the real Mccoy! Thanks for the tip. Bye Jerry
