He signed the side scoop on my 70-500. Also 3 or 4 more other signed prints/photos. The first was in 80 at SAAC 5, the last when SAAC was in Nashville michael ----- Original Message ----- From: RSANTER@aol.com To: campaul1@xtra.co.nz ; Shelbymustang@carmemories.com Sent: Sunday, May 01, 2005 11:07 PM Subject: Re: Shelby Signatures I have a signed shelby book. had it since early 90s
I've got the glove box on my 66 GT350 signed, as well as an original 66 owners' manual, a Shelby Heart Fund sticker, and a 30th anniv. Shelby Championship painting by Bill Neale, showing the two Daytona coupes finishing 1-2 at Reims, to clinch the 65 World Championship. Also, I had my Son's t-shirt signed at the Mini Nats, 2 years ago, in Sonoma, while he was wearing it, with pictures to prove it. (thanks, Lewis!) I think we should get'em while we can, because someday, we won't be able to. My brother-in-law paid $210.00 for an autographed, but used glove box door, on e-bay, and I have seen them go slightly higher. They are priceless, in my book. I would want to make sure, however that they are authentic. The only way to do that, is with photos, or comparing signatures. Carroll signed my name badge at Indiana SAAC some years ago. I also have his signature on a SAAC poster and one of Freidman's Shelby Cars books, /the GT40/. And I have a signed copy of /Remembering the Shelby Years/.
