How are your Shelby Mustangs titled? The....

    I had a question about this earleir. My shelby was stolen and had been titled as a shelby. I checked every few years to see if it was regestered and never could find it.
    I guess it is registered as a ford with a ford vin?

    the possibilities are endless. Could have been parted out, moved overseas, or new VIN's welded in & titled as another car, etc.

    my Texas title has the Shelby VIN, Make: Ford, & the model space is blank.

    My old 69 GT500 was titled as a Ford, my 67 was titled as a Shelby. Both Ohio titles. The DMV just copied whatever was on the previous title.

    My 65 is titled as Shelby with vin# SFM5S275 here in Texas.
    An earlier owner got the title changed from 5S275 to SFM etc.

    When I bought 67 I lived in Ohio, it is also titled as a Shelby.:thumbup: However the license plate registration said Ford.:confused: I guess Ohio is as confused as everyone else.
