66 shelby Hi-Po motor mounts

    Hey..just looked at our car 1902 and it has regular 66 motor mounts..I can see a third hole unused..all 66 shelby's had hipo motor mounts right..with the C4ZA part number?...thanks...if so guess I need to find some hipo mounts..

    I may be wrong,but I think only 65 hipo's and Shelby's had the special hipo motor mounts.All 66's had the regular 289 mounts so your car would have the correct mounts.:thumbsup:

    Ohh..that would be so nice if I did not need to put on hipo mounts if not needed...

    Earlier 66's had the 65 style HiPo specific motor mounts. I don't recall where the cutoff was but believe it was after the carry-over cars. 6S1902 would definitely have 66 standard mounts as OE.

    The change from HiPo engine mounts to regular ones was
    in November of 1965.
