That is nice! Brings back memories.
A friend of mine, now in heaven, had one of those.
I had a "generic" bike, envied him until I learned he had Leukemia and his parents were giving him anything he wanted.

After using Google I found another color for those of you who like " Pink Hotrods ". Wonder if this could be the elusive Pink 66 convertible everyone went looking for until paperwork proved otherwise??

How did one get one of these bad boys back in the day? Was it a parts catalog thing/company promo item or was it manufactured and sold by a seperate company?
Also, i like the redline tires!

Ahhh....banana seats and ape hanger handle bars. Those were the days! Cruising was never so much fun as the summers out of school without a care in the world, good friends and a bike. :laf: Too bad that nowadays I can't let my kids go around the block by themselves.

In my hometown there were "Mom and Pop" hardware stores that were similar to Western Auto Stores carrying all different styles of products that usually distinguished where you got your items because of exclusives during the time. Not to many exclusives anymore, Walmart pretty much put a stop to that.
I still have one of my bikes I am keeping for my grandson to have fun with. In about a year he'll have something to bring back a little of our past. Exception of just taking off on your own to have a ride and spend the day. Didn't have to worry that some sicko would bother you! Those days are unfortunately gone. What a shame our world has become so mean.
