Hello, I purchased a 2007 GT500 convertable. I did pay over the retail value. Does anyone know if I made a serious mistake? The auto is beyond words...... Peace to all. R.M.
If you are talking new, the verts (most) are still selling for more than MSRP but not the 15K you saw earlier in the year. I got one in December for +2K
Are you Enjoying it? Do you have a Blast Driving it? When Driving it, are you Grinning from Ear to Ear? If you answered YES to any or all of these questions, then I would say, you got a good deal. David.
I agree,if you bought it and it makes your heart race;you invent excuses to drive it then yes you made a wise purchase, BUT if you bought it as a investment;to lock up and sell in a few years and make a tidy profit..I hope you are young and can wait a very long time.Cars as a investment are a risky venture in the antique ranks much less new ones;check the prices on 95 Cobra Rs several are floating right now and they can be had for close to sticker.Had lunch with a banker friend who is repoing a 07 convert and hard top(GT 500s) and is accepting bids,I buy cars to drive and enjoy;stock and real estate are investments. Wow, totally agree with all you guys! HOw can buying a brand new shelby ever be a bad thing? Best Regards, Vern
Thanks to all for our replies. I purchased my unit Dec '06. Although I did pay the premium over list, the vehicle is my very first and probably last "NEW" car. As with many purchases, the price is "What's it worth to you!" Another question: Has anyone recieved the recall notice regarding the seat belts? Any other recalls? Many Thanks in advance. R.M.
Re: Recall Rob, Hello I am a Ford Master tech and the recall is performed many times a day at work. It is a Re-Program of the restraint modgule. If you have a programer installed please remove it back to Stock before going to the dealer. It should only take twenty minutes. Good luck. David
