What is the proper location for the antenna on the LR 1/4 of a '69 Shelby?

    Thanks

That was something that was dealer installed at final prep before delivery to the customer. It is always interesting to look down a row of four or more 69/70 Shelby's at a car show and line up behind the first antenna to see the differences between all of them. I would use the same location on the replaced quarter panel if replacing while restoring your car since all 69/70 Shelby's should have it in that Left Rear location. In the case of a clone, tribute car etc. you could get by with guesstimating it by looking at several pictures since it was a variable location on the left rear quarter. They were all in the same general spot so it is hard to go wrong unless you put it in a grossly wrong location. The only thing I would point out is that it has to be far enough back on the rear quarter on the top side that the bottom end that extends into the trunk can be secured to the small hole on the wheelhouse usually by a short piece of metal strap for stability like what came with the attaching hardware of the original assembly.
