Any of you current 500 owners installed FRE on your car? If so did you install it yourself or have dealer install, how much for labor?

I had a local muffler shop install mine for $90. Probably could have done it myself, but it was worth it to me. This is definitely something any muffler shop can do.

OK, I'm not up on all the acronyms, what is a FRE?

I put Corsa's on my blown 06 Mustang GT. They were expensive but have a life time warranty and sound great.

I'm thinking of changing my exhaust, did you put the entire exhaust system or just the axle back systems?

I installed flow masters on my 08 GT500, they sound great - just right. They are axle back's, they just bolt on. Around 5 bolts per muffler.

The FRE set sound mean, there is a youtube video (do a gt500 exhaust or gt500 flowmaster) search, and they have like 5 or 6 different exhaust sound/video clips - FRE is one of them.

I was in the same boat as a lot of you......was unsure which exhaust/mufflers i should go with. I decided to crawl under the car and remove both mufflers to hear how it sounded. Was it loud? Yeah, but not like you would think. I drove it like that for a few days and decided that it wasn't as obnoxious as you would think so, i ordered the SLP loudmouths. A few days later, i crawled back under the car and had them installed in 20 minutes. The sound is amazing and it's not obnoxious at all. Best part besides sound......the car is now lighter !!.....lol

Besides the FRE any other suggestions? I don't want to sound like a Harley driving down the road waking up the neighbors.
