Hey there everyone...just wanted to see who had their original seat belts in their car.. I am interested in knowing about the impact belts.. Quote "They started going to the Impact label belts right in the 1500 range of serial numbers" Jim Cowles So who has there original impact belts? I posted a pic of some we are planning on picking up.. Can you chime in on what your labels look like, even a pic would be great, and also are they dated labels and do they have a part number on them? Do they have short hooks or long style hooks Thanks guys.. Jimmy
#2227 Has CS IMPACT Model # can't be read ? opposite side reads; CUMMINGS &SANDERS DIV. PRODUCTS RESEARCH & CHEMICAL CORP. PACOIMA,CALIFORNIA 1966 MEETS OR EXCEEDS SPECIFICATIONS OF J4c
Snakeman....do your belts have long style or short style hooks on them? From your description of your belt lables I am assuming they look exactly like the ones I posted pics of...?? Maybe you can post some better close up pics of your lables? This is great.... JImmy
The belt labels look exactly the same as the belt on the left hand side . the locking hook probably could not be much shorter as you hook the other belt and lock the lever ,there is just a little play between the 2, where they lock together.
Ok..so here is the question of the day...why did they switch from Ray Browns to Impacts in 66...was it a supply issue? was it that Impact was selling them cheaper than Ray Brown was?
