I just went to order new rear brake shoes for my 67 GT 500 #2914, built in May of 67. I found that the shoes are 2.5" wide and the drums are about 2.75" wide. I have owned the car since 1976 and have not modified them. I have not driven the car in 17 years! Yes, it is close to being done. Can some of you 67 GT 500 owners check yours? PLEASE? Help me get my baby done! Thank you!!! Brian

Those sizes of brake drums and shoes are correct for 67's,
    both GT500 and GT350.

The thickness of the shoes are normally narrower than the drums since there is a percentage of the drum that overlaps the backing plate which shields againist water and too much stuff getting in the braking area.

Your parts are right for your application

Seems most parts store computers used the regular Mustang listing for parts when they where programing in the data.
So, to double check, ask for the rear shoes for a 66/67 Fairlane wagon. Or the 65/66/67 Econoline
