I have taken the K heads off of my Paxton replica, why? Way to high of compression = three sets of head gaskets in 10K miles! The heads are "double dot" 65 and are ported & polished and ready to go.

I don't have a price so make me an offer. They are in LA, I will shot some pix's tonight and post tomorrow.

I'm not familiar with the "double dot" term. Please enlighten. Thanks.

The casting date is C50E, as for double dot, I've seen some cast with HP and some cast with 65 and two dots above the 65 (see photo), thus double dot.

Again these heads are not "unmolested", meaning they have been port matched & polished and have been on my car since I bought it in '99.

C5OE is part of the engineering number. The casting date code will have a format like "5B29" which codes for 1965,February,29th. What are those dates? Thanks.

one is 5F2, the other is 4K30. Is it unusual to have two different dates?

Were the heads original to the same engine? Almost 5 months seems like a pretty big range if that's the case but I guess stranger things have happened. My original heads both have the same date, 6A31. If the heads aren't both from the same engine they're probably a set that got mismatched before people cared about date codes.

No the heads are not original with the engine, and i can see where now my posting title "original" has come back to haunt me. Hind sight would have made me title the post, Pair of K Heads for sale.

The heads have been on the car since i bought it almost 10 years. With the exception of rebuild and engine repair.

Though it could happen (haven't seen an original example of this big of a spread yet) most heads are dated much closer together as a pair. More likely these two lost their mates somewhere along the way
