67 gt500 original rims

    Hi Everyone, On My 67 Gt500 #1131 I Have A Copy Of The Original Dealer Sale Invoice And Was Wondering If Anybody Might Know What The Price Difference Was On The Kelsey Hayes Rims Compared To The 10 Spoke Rims My Dealer Invoice Says Deluxe Wheels So Are They Kelsey Hays 5 Spokes Or The 10 Spokes And Also On My Dealer Invoice On The Second Line Below 1967 Gt500 $ 3440.70 It Says Special Handling Charge $100.00 What Was This For ,because At The Bottom Of Invoice It Has A Normal Freight Charge Of $75.25 Hopefully Someone Might Know Thanks Lance

    Welcome Lance,
    The registry info on your car shows it as a 10 spoke and a owner installed 427 - and that you were smart enough to buy it when you were 15!:thumbsup:

    Both are "Deluxe" rims. It all depended on when your car was assembled at Shelby American in LA.

    To add to Rods correct information is that the thinking at this time is that the two wheels were not available at the same time during the 1967 production or that you got a choice . If you wanted standard wheels you got the hubcaps and if you ordered the deluxe wheels you got what they were using at the time ,ether the ten spokes or magstars. The magstars were used predominantly early in production and late in production with the ten spokes used predominantly in the middle of production. I hope this helps. Bob
