    Hi All:

The first pic below is a picture of the fan that came with my Shelby when I bought it. It looks like a 6cyl fan?

I have seen this same fan on some Shelbys. Pic #2 fan looks like the fan I see on many Shelbys too. Anyone know if the fan I have is correct for #3000 built 7/21/67?

    Thanks!

    Jim

pic A is not a hi-po fan. pic B is.

unfortunately real hi-po fans are going for $1000.00 you can buy a reproduction fan for $100.00

I would agree with you. Many say the pic #2 fan was used on 65-66 Shelbys..

This is where the confusion for me come in

I'm not that knowledgeable on 67's but believe the #2 pic HiPo fan was used only on 63-66 HiPos including 65-66 GT350. AFAIK the pic#1 fan was used on 67 GT350's, HiPos, and other 289s, it has a C6 part#. Not sure if 6-cylinders use that same fan.

Jim there was a number of fans installed on 67's

    Was yours a 350 or 500?

    AC or non AC?

    All makes a difference ;)

I bet the left one is the original for your car.
It should be marked C6OE if I don't recall wrong.
I have one of these on my 67 with a HiPo engine
even though it originally was a GT500. The fan
came with a 67 HiPo (k) engine and transmission
I bought 25 years ago in Sweden. This summer
I replaced the fan spacer with a 2.74" long one
instead of the 3" that was on the car. Both length
    including pilot button.

C6OE-D is the correct fan for a 67 hipo. The 289 hipo fan was not used in 67 that I am aware of.

The fab on the right is a correct HIPO fan and dated C66 (March '66) - I know because it was mine, but I just sold it. It came from my old '66 GT350. I also have on the shelf a near NOS correct fan for the '67 GT350 w/AC. The fan is a seven blade clutch fan with the part number C6OE-G. It's very rare and hard to find so nice. It's for sale if anyone wants to step up.

The C6OE-G fan was a seven blade clutch fan for the A/C equipped small block '67 GT350s. The non-A/C fans were different.

Just to confirm the previously stated info the C6OE-d "X" shaped fan is correct for non A/C equipped 67 GT350 and C6OE-G 7 blade clutch fan blade is correct for A/C equipped 67 GT350 . Bob Gaines 67 Shelby head concours judge SAAC and Team Shelby, MCA gold card judge 65-70 Shelby
