Anyone know anything about Gotham Ford in New York City? It was the original selling dealer of my 67 GT 350. I have done internet searches and not come up with much. Any info on its location, years of operation, photos or other info would be helpful. thanks Jon

all i can tell you is that my KR vert was bought out of gotham and Marti reports has the original "second page" of the invoice of all the gotham cars -- in fact i've been told that marti has all cars that were form a dealership that begins with a letter before M -- not sure on that -- they will give you this invoice if you ask for it when you are getting a Marti report -- someone more knowledgeable than I will clarify what this "second page" -- document really is -- but it's a nice piece of provenance for your car -- john
Bill Kolb was the high performance salesman @ Larsen Ford in White Plains for many years, I believe dating back to the early 60's. Gotham Ford felt they should be one of the nations #1 Shelby dealer and recruited Bill to come on over. I can't remember when this happened but I thought it was sometime 68/69.
He was at Gotham Ford at the end of 1966, b/c I ordered my 1967 GT500 from Bill. Those were the days.
I should have a Gotham postcard somewhere. They sold 1968s as well. The "page 2" invoice is the sales copy of the window sticker. Kevin Marti has most of the invoices from dealerships before the letter "R". In other words, invoices were filed alphabetically by dealership name and the last bunch (end on the alphabet) is missing.
My Shelby was also sold at Gotham Ford #2225. They were located at Gotham Ford INC 1110 1st at 61st street New York,N.Y. 10021 This is where mine was sold. Other sales locations were -------------------- 570 West 42nd street at 11 ave -------------------- 1710 B'Way at 54th St The first two locations were also parts and service centers.
