    After viewing hundreds of SAAC 33 photos I found a photo that no one has spoken anything about on the Forum. Can't believe we have overlooked the earliest Shelby ...maybe before the numbering system went into place... and I must say "" A REAL BARN FIND ""

    Just got to thinking... Could this be the very first prototype of the Hybrid..? mid engine car... hay to feed the alternate engine sources... lets think Uhh... Horse scat for bio fuel?? And to think that Mopar had the name scat pac used on later model performance cars....Okay I'll stop rambling!!! LOL

    Yep, it's a GT40 prototype. I love the induction system. Looks like a heck of a nice engine. :)

    What is the story behind that thing? If you read his sign he appeared to be going after someone that ripped him off or something.

    I am not sure of the sign you are reading. Where you there to read that? The only sign I see is the SAAC card ID #237 with a comment to Mad Max.

    Its legit.

    Notice the solid Oak subframe connectors ..and the factory rope bump steer kit. Hard to fake that.

    He should have put 1860 on the card as opposed to 1830, then it could be the first terlingua race car.....t.

    It was a free standing sign next to it (not in the posted pic) It seemed very sarcastic and directed toward someone ripping him off.

    I was told that that was the prototype body design that AC wanted Carroll to use for the Daytona Coupes BEFORE he turned the project over to Pete Brock :laf:
