Holley Carb question

    Hi, can someone tell me what's I've got?? LOL, I picked this up and was going to run it on my track car a few years ago but ended up going with a HP carb. Any idea on Value? Its stamped

    It's a holley 725 cfm replacement carburetor for the 3259-1
    that was used on early 65-67 Shelby GT350. I used to run
    a 4118 on my car (67) until I found a 3259 and it's performance was
    the same with one difference. You can very easily adjust the
    float levels on the 4118. Value, not that much as it is quite
    a common carb. Have seen several on ebay the last few months.

    Hey Bo...what was the list number on the 725 the the 65 r-modles used...would love to find one of those for my mustang..could one not just put some lemans bowls on this carb and it be correct in look and functionality as the carb for the R-Model?

    If I don't recall wrong the R-model carb had a list number
    of 3255 and was rated at 780cfm.

    Oooooo a 780..thats nice...I did not know....I think I would like that carb...I have a 65 2+2...ok so its not my dads shelby butttt...I put a mexican 302 in it 10.5-1 compression ..eddlebrock performer RPM heads,cam,intake,waterpump,gear drive..and 850 carb...the engine screems and pulls all the way to 6500 ...it just at times it seems that it has two much carb...

    Bo, wasn't the 3255 also the carb used on the 427 Cobras? Dave

    Thanks Bo, out of town right now without my reference books and just don't trust the memory like I used to.
