Glad to have stumbled onto the forum -would have joined years ago if I knew about it. I have a '68 GT350 I have owned since '69 -purchased with 5K miles on it from family friend. It has not been driven since approximately 1975. I believe the car is registered, but am not positive. I have never had time to join the Shelby association due to work, but finally am able to take the time to participate. I also will be looking for advice on whether to restore or leave as is.
    Regards, Dennis Greene

    Welcome to the site

I would vote no on the restore as long as it is functional. Like the wise man once said "It is only original once"

Thanks for the info - I had always been thinking restore, but a good business acquaintance (& Cobra owner) initially raised the question which started me thinking. Like I mentioned I never had much time to deal with this, but will start investigating now.
    Regards, Dennis

Hi Dennis and welcome to the site. I typically lean towards the "don't restore it side" but honestly we need some more info. I just restored a KR for a gentlemen who like you bought it in 69 and owned it ever since. He also didn't drive it since the mid 70s and it had 45K miles on it. At some point in its early life it had a color change that made the choice to restore an easy one.
