Oct. 11th, Palos Verdes maybe no Cobras but....

    this concours sponsored by a group called Fabulous Fifties is one for the real racers, most of whom raced in the Fifites and Sixties. So if you have seen all the cars and now want to ask an old guy "What was Shelby like as a driver" or "What was your strategy when racing against a Cobra?" etc. etc. this is the place. It takes place October 11, 2008 at the South Coast Botanic Gardens,26300 Crenshaw Boulevard, in Palos Verdes which is a peninsula that juts out into the ocean a rew miles S of LAX airport. The chief organizer just wrote a book on Shelby's Racing career so maybe he will have some there, or at least an advance copy.

    I looked at the entry application and it seems the show is open as far as cars on display only to cars that you can proved raced, call Davey Jordan (former Shelby racer when Shelby ran the Toyota 2000GTs) at 909 867 7998 to be sure
