Junk Yard Salvage - 1968 GT-350 Block

    WOW this is my 8th post. But my question is, What is the correct casting no# for a 1968 GT-350 Block? I have C8AM; C8OE-A & C8OE-B. Which one is correct?
    The reason that I'm asking is that I think that we all need to save these! 289 HIPO (GONE) BOSS 302 (GONE) 427 (GONE) There are some 428s, 302s, 289s, 351s,
    out there and we need to scoop them up and save them from becoming something other than what they where designed to do.

    I typically see the C8OE castings. I believe the C8AM is a Mexican block

    I asked my brother, who has a 68 GT fastback J code and his block is C80E-6015A. Should be the same in a Shelby.

    Depending on the condition of the blocks I agree the availabliity of standard bore blocks is getting very thin.

    Seems to be a market currently for the 289's (of course the performance blocks are always in demand)

    If you find some good 289's I've got some dates I know could be used - feel free to contact me
