Has anyone heard of this dealer or auction or showroom before?

My 68 once was there and I am tracking down some history.

I believe you are referring to Forristall's. They had a website a few months ago, but it's gone now (or maybe they have a new address). The number I have written down is (281) 531-9090. Steve Forristall. I've emailed him in the past, he seems very nice.

They had some great Shelby's. At one time they had 5R103 (Walt Hane R-model) and I think CSX2601 (Daytona Coupe), although I could be wrong on which coupe they had... but they definitely had one.

    Hi Mike,

The website address I had in my favorites for them was the index page, which is now gone, but the website still exists, it's just under construction.

DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying a car from him. Inspect it thoroughly.

He uses a lot of vague phrases like "appears to be" or "as best I can tell" or "owner states", etc., etc. These can be interpreted as "I'm not making a definitive statement that might come back to haunt me after you buy this car". You are definitely buying a car "as is" when you purchase one from him.

He is not a scam artist. His cars are real BUT listen carefully to how he describes them over the phone. If he starts using the vague phrases mentioned above then you had better look at the car yourself. If he does make definitive statements about the car (like "original sheet metal") then be sure to get them in writing before you buy.

I live in Houston and have known of him for over 20 years. He has been buying and selling cars (lots of Shelbys and Mustangs) as long as I have known him. I would be glad to take a look at one of his cars for you.
