You can use a dremmel or a hand coping saw I believe is the name of the saw. I used a dremmel, I used masking tape around the area being trimmed as well. I will look for the photos I took from an original 67 interior and post them. From there it was trim and hand fit each panel. The photos gave me a good place to start the trimming.

 

Try to make a card board template of the area. Start small and keep test fitting
