Does anybody know anything about this car? A good friend of mine is interested. Would like some feedback before I drive out to look at it. Thanks Larry
I have been tracking cars for the last year. A 69 350GT driver has been selling for $60-$80k tops. $105 is all the money.
Thanks for the reply but I haven't seen any 69 convertibles in the 60 to 80 grand range. If anyone knows of any or a 65 thru 67 Shelby for sale at todays lower prices please let me know! Larry
call gary patterson at shelby Automobiles in las vegas - (702) 277 8430 / he may very well either know the car and/or the owner/seller. todays market puts that car at about 75k tops. good luck!
As has been noted on other forums run don't walk away from this sucker;it may be a great car but a bad deal could ruin the whole experience. Tell your buddy to shop around theres a good one out there. Steele
Be CAREFULL on this one!!! The owner, "O' Wade", seems to not like buyers who use PayPal or want to have an escrow account opened as a protection to assure their purchase is legit. Check, Double Check, then check all the paperwork again including: The Title against the Vin Tag!!!!! This guy has a track record of screwy, odd and downright weird ways of wanting/trying to sell cars. You have been forewarned. Approach with due Caution! B)
As you can see by the ad, Wade has an attitude. His cars might be okay, but double check the paperwork as the stories and histories which are subject to change. I have tried to work with him in the past on behalf of potential buyers of his other cars but found him difficult and unreliable. His poor eBay rating speaks volumes. He deals in cash only. The car may be all he says, but with dirt all over, it may difficult to see any problems or read various number stampings. I would recommend a thorough inspection of the car and paperwork with verification on the title and any possible registration liens before handing over the cash. And take a witness with you.B)
First, I don't think you will find too many convertibles in the $75,000 range (but I could be wrong?). This auction has a lot of red flags. I think the advice above is sound. Stay away from auctions where the sellers don't want to share history, serial numbers or paperwork with you. You can tell a lot about the seller by the disparaging remarks he has left as feedback.
