    Thanks.

It was originally green and is automatic. Looking for an original hertz 4spd.

There's another one on Fraser Dante

asking for an original 4 speed is getting too picky.

I wish I still had mine... I sold #577 (original black & gold 4spd) about 8 years ago for $44k, and I thought I did good after owning it for 6 or 7 years and making $11k on it! It was a really nice car that would easily bring big money these days. :(

they only built 86(one prototype) so finding that car will be tough, regardless of color..there was a rebody at mecum of kansas city a month back...bank owned.

Sorry for showing my ignorance but, I thought all factory 4 spd Hertz cars were black. 4 spds were an early thing and colored cars were a late thing. My just be some misinformation I have been carring around for awhile.

There were some early cars that weren't black. Most were white which includes some Hertz prototypes that still had blue stripes but I believe there was also an early blue or red car or two in the mix. IIRC a past issue of the Shelby American had details on all the 4-speed cars, I'll try to find it.

The ad on the blue car states it was originally an auto car, it's VIN is also too late to be an original 4-speed. Don't know about the red one.

Are you thinking of the article on page 25 of Shelby American #75?

Thanks Josh, that's the one. Looks like the last Hertz 4-speed car was 6S612.
