“LEGENDS OF RIVERSIDE” EVENT IN MARCH The Legends of Riverside event will take place in the new Riverside International Racing Museum , located at. 815 Marlborough #200, in Riverside. Started by Doug Magnon, a local developer and Maserati collector, the Museum is endeavoring to recapture the flavor of the track which at one time hosted up to 70,000 spectators for a single racing event. The highlight of the event is a film festival of old racing films, and there are scheduled appearances planned for various celebrity drivers, including LeMans winner Dan Gurney, who grew up in the Inland Empire town and recorded many famous victories there. There are reportedly still opportunities for vendors featuring memorabilia related to racing at Riverside during the track’s long history and those interested can contact the organizer at 951-369 6966 or at his e-mail address: eventinfo@legendsofriverside.com --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
