    Hello all,

I have a question that I am sure you all will be able to easily answer. I was surfing the net today and ended up on the Branda website. As I was going thru the online catalog I noticed a part listing that I have never heard of before. In the engine section for the 1966 Shelby it lists a Shelby servo piston cover assembly for $200. There is no picture shown and I have no clue what it is or does for that matter. Can one of you please shed some light on this for me? I was going to call the Branda store, but they were already closed for the day. I have been around Mustangs and Shelbys for years, but this is a new one for me. I can't even place where it might go on the car. Anyhow, thanks for the help in advance.

Not sure what this exact reproduction does but in general the "C" servo cover is a reproduction of the original cover used on 66 Hipo C4's This is only an external item and the original trans would have had a different governor, weight and valve body (might be missing an addition item)

There have been a few reproductions over the years here is what the cover

    Here is an original assy

    And a reproduction cover

There are aftermarket governors that do, basically, the same thing as the C parts but the cover does not look the same (used a similar kit on CJ C6 trans recently) You might want to get the same effect as the original (what I plan on doing with a C4 I have by mating a valve body kit, aftermarker governor and the repo cover (I've got an original cover and other pieces I'll work in.
