I recently tried to put my fan on my 67 500 and found that it hits the current pulley I have (just barely) I don't know if I have the wrong pulley or possibly the water pump is pressed together with the shaft too far in possibly? The pulley I have is cast and has an "extra" groove as there are 4 total with the assembly complete to the balancer. Is this correct? I was told a while ago that the part number is correct but now I'm not sure. I believe it is CA1N. If not does anyone have one for sale? Thanks so much everyone. Carl
Correct balancer is C6AE -A. I am going from memory but I know there is a earlier 427 balancer that is close but doesnt have the correct timing marks and i think the early ones were not machined on front leading edge of the outer part of the blancer. I think it is a C1AE part number. I have seen some balancers that were restamped from C1AE to C6AE from the factory though. The correct pulley is 2 groove and looks very similar to a cj lower pulley when assembled. I think its parts number is C1AE. The correct balancer is expensive.
Correct pulley is C1AE-A Its a 2 groove pulley the inner most pulley is the same size as the one made on the balancer and the outer is smaller. Looks alot like a 428 cj lower pulley when together.
