Anyone going? This is the MCA event that celebrates the 45th anniversary of the introduction of the Mustang. It is the weekend of April 14, the day the car was introduced. It will be at Barber Raceway in Birmingham, AL.
I will be there. They are expecting over 3000 Mustangs, the last Article I read said over 6000. So far I have been to the 30th, 35th, 40th and hopefully now the 45th. I am also planning on the 50th if it is on the East Coast.
I am too old to think about the 50th. I was at the 40th at Nashville with my old 1965 Mustang. I think the 35th was in Charlotte? That is too far for my memory, but I think I was there.
The 30th and the 35th were at Charlotte. the 40th was at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. It was such a great turnout that they decided to have the 45th there as well. I hope the 50th will be there as well.
@ tesgt350 : the 40th anniversary of the mustang was in Nashville, Tennesee and not in Birmingham,Alabama. Richard
These anniversaries can be confusing because they (the Mustang club) have an anniversary event celebrating the anniversary of the car and another anniversary of the founding of the club. The anniversary of the Mustang seems to be at a road race course (or roval in the case of Charlotte). The club stuff usually happens at a drag strip (I went to one at the drag strip at Commerce, GA [the NHRA track]). I have nothing to do with any of them: I am not even a member.
