Will not be perfectly balance (but you will not get that without balancing all the moving parts) but that balancer will work for your application, even though it will not be exactly correct.

FYI the original type and shape HiPo balancer has been reproduced. Cobra Automotive sells the repro balancer on ebay or you can go to their web site (google). Bob

Has anyone here bought one of these repop balancers? They do look nice, once mounted it seems the only thing visible in an original that wouldn't be there is the date code.

That is correct but it is a much more viable alternative in my opinion then the C8 balancer. The C8 replacement balancer is physically different in shape and easily noticed as being non original. The repro however has the correct shape. Any casting markings that a original has or a repro doesn't have is a non issue once the crank pulley is bolted on. Those details are hidden behind the pulley. If you really wanted to be cleaver you would metal stamp a date code of your choice into the balancer for a even more historically accurate look. I am glad they are a available alternative. Bob

They are very nice,...got two from them for other projects. I agree with Bob, once installed with the pulley in place, its almost impossible to tell from the real deal.
