Congratulations on being chosen Car-of-the-Month Carl, your car looks great, I bet your daughter is also waiting for the day when she controls the shelby. Rick
Hey Carl, congratulations on Car of the month. Really looking good. Seeing all theses great looking Shelby's is super for the rehab. Got out for a little drive (oops, make that ride) in mine today. My buddy whose chaufering me around is starting to like the Shelby too. Actually it feels great in the passenger's seat. Great pics. Jim
Yeah Rick, she reminds me every day that she is going to be the one who gets my car when I'm no longer around...LOL I told her she might have to pry the keys from my cold dead fingers! She said she could handle that! Carl
Thanks Jim, I forgot that you were on the injured list...how much longer before you can be back in the driver's seat? I bet your buddy is going to want to go find his own Shelby after driving yours! LOL Carl
Thanks Shelby101 Actually, I found the homelink device on Ebay for about $35.00, and I found the installation instructions on another Mustang Forum...I did a few things just a little bit different from the instructions that I downloaded, and I think it turned out pretty good...It's something Ford really should have done from the factory. I was looking at putting in a rear view mirror that dimmed, had the compass, and outside temperature displays, but the cost kept me from putting that in...I also found the instructions on line for programming the little homelink module, and it works GREAT! No more chasing the garage door remote all over the car or having the ugly thing hanging on the sun visor...Well worth the little bit of money I spent and the time it took to install it.
Oh yeah, almost forgot this is your one year anniversary of Shelby ownership. Congrats on a nice year of enjoying a great car.
Thank you sir. It has been a wonderful year filled with great enjoyment of the car. These cars are truly wonderful...She's not one of the first ones from years ago, but Ford and Shelby did a great job on these, and I hope to keep her for a very long time...I know my daughter is just waiting for me to become too old to drive it any more so she can have her turn at it...LOL
Yahoo! Went for a short drive today Carl. A little ahead of the doc's recomendations but...the Shelby's clutch is super easy and I'd reached my limit. It felt Great. Oh, and by the way, congrats on the 1 year anniversary. Jim
That's GREAT news Jim! Glad you are back in the saddle again! It's hard to believe that I've had the car a year already...but I hope to have her for many more to come... Glad you are better now, but don't push it...I know it's hard not to, but you don't want to be out of that saddle for a longer period of time either...LOL Take Care, Carl
As the month of February 2009 comes to a close this evening, I would like to thank Larry and Randall for choosing my 2008 Shelby GT as the Shelby of the Month for February 2009, and thank all of you who posted messages to me about the car. It has truly been an honor to be on here. Thank you all once again.
