Hello and great site! I'm coming to you with a few questions... Ok, so I've been racking my brain trying to find a 1969/70 Shelby accessories catalog, you know the one with the Shelby cowgirl wearing the checkered mini skirt dress on the cover with the red daytona. I passed on one of these about 10 years ago and boy I messed up. I've been doing searches thru the years and can't find a single original copy. Heck it's even hard to find a photo of one. I see the poster under a google image search but thats about it. I'm thinking these are hard to find, but where could I find one and what should I expect to pay? Here is the poster... http://www.bossperformance.com/photos/shelbygirlposter.jpg
I don't have an answer, but I had to laugh at this ad with the deodorant in the upper right corner. "Pit Stop - A real man's deodorant."
Here it is, pretty cool. It is a pretty big file and shows every page. http://www.mustangtek.com/Library/PDF/Shelby%20Accessories%20150.pdf
Yeah I did find that one too, thanks for looking. Now do you see how impossible it is to find an original one for sale? I do know it's a Shelby/Autosport Products catalog from Gardena CA. Still looking for one, any ideas on value?
I have paid $30-50 for such catalogs and have seen people pay as much as a $100 for a pristine copy. Condition is a key factor and beware of repops.
I've got one of the posters that's about a 6 out of 10 and I wouldnt take $1000 for it. I've never seen another one. I also have 3 of the catalogs. Not for sale either. So if you do find one, expect to pay a pretty penny.
30-50??? I think Brian understands what I'm talking about... If you put some time into the searches you can understand why he would not take $1000. It is a very iconic cover with the Shelby girl, the car and all the sweet accessories inside. Not sure if you guys took a peak at that online pdf but It also has the famous Texas Chili in there as well. If you want a challange tonight just take a crack at finding one, I'm telling you I've been looking for years and they just don't come up for sale much less be found. I feel like an ass cause I passed one up for a fair price 7 or 8 years ago, just didnt know if it was worth his asking price.
Yeah..........most people wouldn’t believe the amount of time and money that we have spent on memorabilia alone. And if they did know they would think that we were totally nuts.
Thanks for the .pdf file. That's the way to enjoy them (at work, idle time at home, etc). Plus I'm not destroying the original ones or the dog chews it up. Got any others??? Tool
Paid $2.00 for it in 1969. If I still had it, or where did he put it? Check SAAC snakebite, now online, maybe a quality copy for now?
hey guys, I anybody interested in getting a copy of the catalog mentioned in this thread. I currently have three catalogs for sale. Two are the high performance parts catalogs from 1967 and 1971 and the other is the accessories catalog that you guys are talking about. ALthough the two hipo parts catalogs are in quite good condition, the accessories catalog is missing the front cover but would be great for anybody who is looking for something good for referance. Further, this catalog does come with two unused dealer order forms. I want to get rid of these items at a price bellow what i would consider market so that i can do it fast. Going off to college next year, doesnt hurt to have a few extra pennys jingling in the pocket. Here is low quality pic of all three. Best Regards as always, Vern
Mine is for sale...no cover as stated in previous post, does come with two unused dealer order forms...35 firm, no shipping charge anywhere in 48 states. Best, Vern
