I have a 09 gt500. (factory no upgrades yet) when I pull out from a dead stop the car has a vibration in the rear, almost as if the drive shaft was not balanced. Maybe it is just me trying to get used to 3.31 rear end?? Does anyone else have this problem. The problem does not occur if you pull out from a rolling stop just when you are completely stopped. Also what are some good upgrades for the car, it seems that everybody makes them but who are the reliable ones.
    Thanks

hi bobsled wylie here. what is the manufacture date on your 09? i do not have that problem with my 09 but was wondering if it might be the clutch/flywheel warping that is causing the vibes. there is a TSB 08-16-04 to replace those items put out by ford if you have the old flywheel. i am going to the ford house next week to inquire about getting mine done and was wondering if anyone has had issues with the ford service departments about this TSB? all input welcome. thanks

Hey Guys,my 09 was built in Sept after the upgrade and I've got no problems, the subject has been beat to death on Team Shelby Forums, but we paid good money for these cars and you want them to perform correctly,a set of 3:73s,fresh air package, pulley, and a performance tune will really wake these things up!!

My experience is that the dealer won't proactively address the flywheel TSB issue until they see the symptoms. Some clutch chatter in 1st and reverse due to the ceramametalic clutch is normal on these cars and there is also a Ford bulletin detailing that. This is separate from the flywheel issue.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I ordered the car in march and it was at the dealership in december 08. I like the dealer said manf. in the end of nov. or beginning of dec. From what been reading the problem is mostly the driver getting used to the car, but other causes can be the clutch and the 3.31 rear. I only have 300 miles on the car and the vib. seems to come and go as I try different positions with releasing the clutch. Thanks for the tsb because my dealership is not the greatest in the service department. Also I was in contact with TASCA racinging in RI. They have devolped their own cold air intake and tune. Any info on this performace upgrade. They seem to dot their I's and cross their Tee's

    bobsled,
I just got my '09 GT500 in April and initially had the same problem. After reading here and other forums that the clutch/pressure plate is a competition version I have tried to be a little more aggressive with it and seldom get the vibrations/shutters now.

    Good Luck!
