Hi newbie here. Looking for info

    I'm new here and looking for info on my car that was raced out of Mel Burns Ford in Long Beach California. I'll post a couple pictures of it later.

    Yeah, maybe its a missing drag car. What year and model was it?

    It's not a Shelby but it appears it was used in at least one Shlby ad. It is a factory drag 65 Fairlane that went to Les Ritchey in 1965. It was later sponsored by Mel Burns Ford.

    Here is a picture, he is by his silver 65 Fairlane on the left.


    Center front is Connie Kalitta and his 427 SOHC pwered dragster. Left to right; Les Ritchey Performance Associates 289-HP '65 Fairlane, Ed Terry Quarter Horse 289-HP B/FX '65 Mustang, Mike Schmidt '65 Galaxie, Len Richter Bob Ford 427-SOHC B/FX '65 Galaxie, and Gas Ronda Russ Davis Ford 427-SOHC A/FX '65 Mustang.

    Yes that's my car on the left. I also have another picture of it from 1967 that shows it with Mel Burns Ford lettered on the quarter panel. Also a Shelby ad from it's Mel Burns sponsored days. I'll try again to get the attachments to work.
