    Hi guys,
Have observed that San Jose didn't follow the assembly manual
when installing the kick panels on 65 Mustangs/Shelbys. The assembly manual
specifies two screws on each side but pictures showing original cars
have three screws on each side. Removed my panels that I had used
two screws on and there were three holes. two quite close to the
back (towards back of car) edge and one in the lower front corner.

The assembly manual has many details that do not match what was done on Mustangs or Shelbys. Believe the 2 verses 3 screws has been found to be a running change in Mustang production - not a Shelby thing ;)

    Thanks Jeff,
    You are correct as always.
Thought it was a San Jose thing as pictures of early 65 Shelbys,
Dec. 64 production shows three screws but when checking my 65
Coupe which was produced in Dearborn in Feb. 65 it also has
three screws. Have to replace the panels on my Shelby now.
Maybe I will use the ones from my coupe if the holes line up
    perfectly.
