I'm a BOSS Mustang guy but that might change when the new Shelby comes out next year. I currently own a 70 grabber orange BOSS 429 and a 70 grabber orange BOSS 302. I hope continue the grabber orange paint theme on the Shelby (that is is Ford will allow special order paint on the Shelby). Ed
Welcome neighbor. I see you’re in Bremerton, I'm on Bainbridge. Hope to run into you at some point. Try the Clearwater Casino on Tuesday's after work. They have a weekly come one, come all show through September. I'll be in the black 68 Firebird 400 convertible. See you there hopefully.
Didn't know they had a cruz night at the casino. I cruz the A&W in Port Orchard Wednesday nights an Port Gamble thursday (sometimes). I'll have to check out the casino.
Nice collection of Cars!! I do not know what FORD plans to do with the Paint selection on the New Shelby Mustangs. It would be great if they Offered any COLOR that was originally available in the Sixties. Chances are that they will be very limited in the choices.
Don't allow no stinking Boss cars on this site. Ed how the Hell are you? Keith Lyles aka "Doc" aka the "Die Cast Guy from Keyport" Retired from the military and livin it up in good old Virigina. Got both Shelbys and the Cobra here although right now none of them are running. KR has a transmission line leak, 67 GT-350 has Power Steering control valve problem and Cobra is in Ohio for an engine removal and subsequent autopsy. Only thing running right now is the Lightning. Grabber Orange will not be allowed on any cars especially since you want one. I will personally write Ford and voice my displeasure if they choose to use this obnoxious(sp) color on any future Ford product. You probably want it to have Blacked out scoops and side stripes too !! Sorry, we cannot slow down production to accomodate such a ridiculous request and must therefore bar you and your request to the back of the line. Just kidding Ed. There was a Grabber Orange Shelby color combination in the 60/70's. Kind of looked like a big Tangerine Candy Stick. Anyhow, if Ford really wants to make hay, they can produce these models in the original color combinations of the 60's/70's. Wonder what the most popular color will be? Certainly not Sunlit Gold i.e. (Lime Green).
CAPT, good to hear from you again! Sounds like sour grapes to me LOL!! Only a few select folks are allowed to own a grabber orange car at any one time - hang in there kid - you'll get your chance. How is the diecast business? I have alot more money in my pocket since you left town. Ed
Things are great. Business is ho hum because my regular job keeps me on the road. You will need all the loose change you can save to buy the Shelby but I am sure they will give you a good "trade-in" on one of your Bosses (smile). I am probably going to order one myself but I need to figure out where I am going to put it. Can't modify the existing garage and land is so #@#$ expensive in Northern Va. that building another garage is totally out of the question. Anyhow welcome to the forum, tell your lovely wife and all the KMC members hello. Hopefully my business may bring me to the Kitsap area again. I miss the mountains and wonderful weather. Take care and good luck on obtaining the Shelby of your dreams !!
Storage issues solved...... I stack them. All you need is a ceiling height of more than 10 1/2 feet. I have on of those four post lifts being used to store two cars in my third stall garage. Just a thought. TSR
