$50K bid on "recreation" 66 Hertz???

Discussion in 'Shelby Mustang List' started by DLen1261@aol.com, Jun 20, 2005.

  1. eBay item 4557147048 (Ends Jun-20-05 14:40:49 PDT) - Ford : Mustang

WHO is "golden675" and WHY has he/she bid this auction up $20K above the
next-highest bidder? Or do I really need to ask? Or...am I missing something
    here?

  2. What has probably happened is that Golden675 has put in a proxy bid and every time someone else bids, golden's bid is increased. One would wonder why the other bids are not recorded, but....................
If that one does not ring true, it is also possible golden keeps upping their own bid to signal to everyone else that they want it and they have deep pockets.
Looks like golden really wants it and will probably get it.

  3. One other comment. It is really funny to see part of the selling argument is that Carroll Shelby thought it was such a good replica that he signed the dash. I think ol 'Shel would sign a Stanley Steamer for his fee.
